On Thursday January 16, 2025 VOICES and the River Grove Lions Club sponsored a free eye screening for the Pre-K and kindergarten children at Rhodes School. Lion Karl Schultz from VOICES performed the screening with a Plus Optix IR Camera. The camera takes a screen shot of the child's eyes and lets us know whether the child needs to see a professional eye provider. The camera is not intrusive on the child and the examination takes seconds.
Lions Kurt Kuras, Joe Paldo, and Ralph Zarada were present at the screening. Lisa Lonigro, the school nurse expressed her appreciation for the screening and has already committed to a future date.
